Yes, the B&W Biker Bar Tie-Down System Base with Anchor Plates, # BWMC2300, can be mounted and used on an open trailer.
The base plate's dimensions are 25 inches long x 6-3/4 inches wide.
This product is not the complete Biker Bar unit. The # BWMC2300 is only the mounting plate. The complete units are, # BWMC2301 for Harley-Davidson Touring models, # BWMC2302 for H-D Softail, Dyna, and V-Rod models, # BWMC2303 for the H-D Sportster, and # BWMC2304 for H-D with 1-1/2 inch custom frames.
