Hi, I switched vehicles so I need to convert a Yakima Holdup from a 1 1/4inch to now fit a 2inch receiver. What do you recommend and does that compromise the capability of the rack? Can it also handle the weight of carrying up to 4 bikes?

I have a perfect solution for you.

To convert your Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02445 for use with the 2 inch receiver on your new vehicle, you can simply replace the tongue with the Yakima # 8880580. This is compatible with the 1-1/4 inch models to convert it for use with 2 inch receivers and is completely safe to use. It includes the updated latching spring pin.

The Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On # Y02446 that allows the carrier to hold up to 4 bikes is not compatible with the # Y02445 for 1-1/4 inch receivers. This will only work with the base rack that is designed for 2 inch hitches.
