Hi. I have THULE Aeroblade ARB53 53 Inch Silver attached with foot pack on my VW Tiguan. Are the Thule Express Surf Strap - Stretchable Tie-Down suitable to attach a surfboard to the rack? Thank you.

Usually people use a surf pad like the part # TH845000 with the strap kit part # TH531 that you referenced to secure a board to the roof rack of a vehicle.
This would be a great option for your Tiguan that has Thule Aeroblade or the newer WingBar crossbars part # TH711420.
