Recommended Weight Distribution System that Will Not Need to Drill Holes in Trailer Frame to Mount

Question:
I have a 2013 Porsche Cayenne and am towing an ATC Quest 22foot car cauler all aluminum.Cayenne TW is about 600lbs. I need a WD hitch. I am considering a Reese Straight-Line vs Steadi-Flex. I am concerned about the Straight-Line requiring drilling into the aluminium for nutcerts. What about galvanic corrosion? And will the nutcerts hold in the aluminum? Similarly for the Steadi-Flex - how do I protect the aluminum from galvanic corrosion? For this vehicle combination, which would you suggest would be better? Thanks

If you are worried about drilling into the frame of your aluminum trailer when installing the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System, like # RP66073, then I recommend the Equal-I-Zer Weight Distribution systems.
The Equal-I-Zer WD system, like # EQ37060ET, has frame mounts that will mount around the frame instead of drilling bolt holes and bolting the mounts to the aluminum frame. The Equal-I-Zer system uses friction bars to help distribute weight and to control trailer sway.
As for galvanic corrosion, Reese had no information on installing the Strait-Line system on aluminum trailer frames.
To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I have attached an article that will explain how to find the total tongue weight for your towing rig.
Once the total tongue weight has been determined, the a the correct weight distribution system can be chosen.
