Will the SumoSprings Helper Springs Impact Daily or Off Road Driving with Unloaded Truck Bed
Updated 06/16/2017 | Published 06/14/2017 >
Question:
Do the jounce springs negatively impact off road performance or daily comfort-ability when the truck is not loaded down? Looking at installing a pair on the rear end of a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4. Thanks.

The SumoSprings Helper Springs, # SSR-302-54, will operate with no issues under normal driving conditions. The springs are designed to begin to impact the truck's suspension when the suspension is under a load.
The OEM suspension components, like shocks, coil or leaf springs, will operate the suspension on your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 truck under normal conditions.
The only issue I could see happening is if you would bottom out the rear of the truck when off road. The jounce bumps on the SumoSprings will be stiffer than the OEM bumpers. Therefore, if you get your truck in a position where you will hit the SumoSprings bumps, the impact may be stiffer than what you experienced with the OEM bumps.
