Question:
What is the difference between the economy and value hub assy AKIHUB-440-2-2K vs 8-91-05UC1 Thanks

Expert Reply:
The two trailer hubs # AKIHUB-440-2-2K from etrailer and # 8-91-05UC1 from Dexter are basically the same product from two different manufacturers. They're both hubs for 2,000 pounds axles with 4 on 4 bolt patterns and use the same # L44649 inner and outer bearings.
The Dexter hub does have a little higher weight capacity at 1,250 pounds vs. the 1,000 pounds of the etrailer hub. However, the price difference is mainly determined from our relationships with the manufacturers and therefore the cost savings we receive are then passed down to the customer.
