Will a Dexter Hub fit on a Axletek backing plate and brake assembly if they are both 12x2?

Expert Reply:
Yes. A Dexter hub like # 8-201-5 that is 12x2 will be compatible with an Axle Teknology brake assembly and backing plate like # AKEBRK-7-SA. The brake assemblies just need to be compatible with your mounting flange, but the drum/hubs need to have the proper bearing fit for your spindle. If the parts are a correct fit, you won't have any issues using them together as they are compatible.

I have an Axletek Hub that supposedly takes Dexter bearing #31-71-3 (50mm) , 8 lug x 6.5, BUT this bearing fits my hub but is too wide. You can't reach Axletek by phone or email. My bearing is approx 1-11/16 inches wide and the Dexter bearing #T50854 (31-71-3) is about 2-1/16 wide. Both of these bearings are 50mm designed for 8 lugs-6.5 inches. My bearing part # is almost illegible to read but the best I can read is JX6254E5E3 or JXC254E5E3. Can you help solve? I have pics if I could attach.
