Trailer Hitch and 1-1/4 to 2 Inch Adapter for a 2016 Nissan Altima

Im looking for a 2inch receiver hitch for my 2016 Altima. Ive been told that Ill have to install a Class 1 1 1/4 and use an adapter to get the 2inch receiver that I need for my bike rack. Whats the part njumber for that adapter, most of the ones Ive seen say they are designed for Class 2 and will not fit a Class 1.....

For the 2016 Nissan Altima there are only Class I hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers such as # 24796 (which I recommend over the Curt hitch because Curt requires a stabilization strap # 18050 when using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier and Draw-Tite does not).
In order to use a 2 inch accessory with a Class I hitch you will need adapter # HTAD which is compatible with a Class I hitch.
Keep in mind that the use of an adapter reduces the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. That means instead of a 200 pound tongue weight capacity for the hitch it is reduced to 100 pounds. Also on a Class I hitch you are limited to 2 bikes, especially when using an adapter, because more bikes puts too much weight too far from the receiver and it can damage the hitch and vehicle.
