The Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller # TK63VR includes a hardwired connector that is intended to connect to a vehicle-specific harness on vehicles that have a direct connection port or to a pigtail # 7894 to allow a hardwired installation in a vehicle that does not have such a connection point under the dash. This pigtail harness is 34-inches long, long enough for most installations.
The black and blue wires on this part are 10-gauge and the others are 12-gauge; butt connectors are included. Both a brake controller's 12V power input and trailer brake output wiring should be 10-gauge.
Brake controller's will require a 30-amp circuit breaker like # PK54530 on their black 12V power input wire.
