Question:
Thinking about buying the best hitch for Murano 2017. I would like to tow 2300 lbs. Nissan now says the Murano can only tow 1500. With the Curt or Draw Tire, would one tow a heavier weight than the other? The 2014 Murano towed 3500 pounds, but the newer Muranos only show 1500 lbs. Someone said that it was a suspension change and some said it didnt change, but its including the passenger weight. I may also need Trailer Brake wiring harness if I can tow more. Thanks

According to the owner's manual for the 2017 Nissan Murano the vehicle is rated for a maximum of 1,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 150 pounds tongue weight so that is what you would be limited to.
The manual also states that "The towing capacity values are calculated assuming a base vehicle with driver and any options required to achieve the rating. Additional passengers, cargo and/or optional equipment will add weight to the vehicle and reduce your vehicle’s maximum towing capacity."
Even though the available trailer hitches such as # 75952 are rated for more weight you are still limited to the maximum capacity of the vehicle. If you still want to tow with this vehicle then I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
In order to add a brake controller you will need to install a 7-Way trailer connector on the vehicle. For that you would start with installing a 4-Way harness, # 118660. Then you will need installation kit # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way and for the parts needed to hardwire in a brake controller. A brake controller cannot be plugged into this vehicle so that is why it has to be hardwired. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
