How To Wire Brake Controller on 2004 Ford F150 Using Factory Supplied Wiring Harness

Question:
I have a venture curt electronic brake for a keystone 27 feet home trailer, my truck is f-150 double cabin Ford 2004. The brake controler has 4 wires onlyred,white,blue, black and the jack in the cabin of my truck for the electric brakes has 6 wiresblack, brown, red, green, blue, brown how do I conect them? which color with which color? Thanks in advance, Im in Mexico, and havent found any help

I am assuming that you have the factory supplied pigtail that plugs into the port under the dash. The controller does not wire up color for color. The red wire on your pigtail connects to the black wire on the brake controller. The light green wire on the pigtail connects to the red wire on the controller, the white wire on the pigtail connects to the white wire on the controller, and the dark blue pigtail wire connects to the blue wire on the controller. Any remaining wires on the factory pigtail are not needed and should be taped off and bundled up out of the way.
