Weight Capacity of Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs 020106

Question:
How much weight does this stand hold?
asked by: Nancy
Expert Reply:
The Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs # 020106 does not have a specific weight capacity since it does not actually lift. Jacks and landing gear do have capacity ratings because they lift some trailer weight but the Valterra stabilizer simply provides support so it does not have a weight limit.
The stabilizer works best when the feet are placed on firm ground. The best locations for the stabilizers are under the rear bumper or frame and under the side behind the RV entrance door. The top rails of the stabilizer should only make contact with the RV frame or bumper - not with any plastic, fiberglass or other parts that may be damaged when pressure is applied.
