Will Tire Size of 235/85-16 Fit on Trailer Wheel that is 7 inches Wide
Published 02/24/2017 >
Question:
I have a 2008 Forest River Sierra 365QBQ that currently has stock steel wheels 16 inch 6x6 with 235 85 R16. I would like to upgrade to the 16 inch 6 lug series 03 HiSpec aluminum trailer wheel but that wheel is listed as a 16×7. Will that wheel fit? My local RV dealership is telling me that I have to stay with the 16×6 and that 16×7 will not fit. Thanks in advance.

Your tire size of 235/85-16 is compatible with 16 inch diameter wheels that are 7 inches wide. That size is actually good for up to 7-1/2 inches wide.
The trailer wheel part # AM22657 would work well with your current tire size.
