Question:
i have a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium, and am looking for a trailer hitch/wiring harness which will still allow me to use the Hands Free Tailgate feature on my SUV. which hitch and wiring harness would you recommend for my vehicle which would continue to allow me access to a Hands Free Tailgate? thanks in advance!

On your 2017 Ford Edge Titanium, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75234 trailer hitch receiver. With all your hitch options, the Hands-free Liftgate sensor areas will be limited to areas away from the center where hitch receiver opening is located. This system will still work on the areas away from the center of the receiver so you won't lose that functionality and feature.
For your vehicle trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118677.
You will also need a ball mount to tow a trailer. I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900. This kit will give you two draw bar options with different rise or drop options and two hitch ball options to ensure you can tow a trailer level. I've attached an article about determining proper rise or drop for your ball mount.
