Question:

Hi - Im very interested in the Kuat Transfer 2 bike rack. However, Im wondering about the weight limit. I believe its 30 lbs per bike? Ill only be transporting one bike, but its an ebike that weighs 55 lbs. If I only used a single rack the one closest to the car, would the Transfer 2 work OK for that? Thx! -

I have a solution that would work well for you, but I cannot recommend the 2-bike version of the Kuat Transfer V2, part # KU74FR for an E-bike that weighs as much as yours does. The wheel hoops are what is rated for 40 lbs so you would not be able to exceed the single bike capacity by staying under the combined capacity with one bike.

Since you're only carrying 1 bike, I recommend the Kuat Transfer V2 bike rack, part # KU64FR. This is a single bike rack with a weight capacity of 60 lbs and offers all the premium features of the 2-bike version that you were looking at.
