What Type of Tire Should Be Ran on an Airstream RV Trailer

Question:

Sir Many Airstream owners are putting Michelin tires on their trailer. Michelin says they do not make a trailer tire. Can you explain? Thanks

We cannot ever recommend the use of a non-trailer rated tire on a RV trailer like yours. The tire needs to be either rated as an ST or an LT (at end of tire size) otherwise it's not a safe setup. What size are you looking for? Our Taskmaster radials are great options that have higher than usual speed ratings and our customers really like them.

For example, the part # TR225LRE is a 225/75R15 that would work well for you if that is the size you need. It has a speed rating of 81 mph and a weight capacity of 2,830 lbs at 80 psi. With trailer tires you have to keep them inflated to their max to ensure you get the full capacity of the tire.
