I used to have brakes on my trailer, I want a new hub assembly rotor, bearings, seals and backing plate with pads. How do I order. I have 5 on 5 1/2, 15inch wheels,and will be hauling around 4,000 pounds.

To find hub/drum assemblies for electric drum brakes that will fit your existing spindles you will need to find the bearing part numbers from the existing hubs. The 5-on-5-1/2-inch bolt pattern hub/drums we offer for 15-inch wheels are shown on the linked page. These are available in weight capacities to match 2000-, 2200- and 3500-lb axles. Be sure to choose hubs rated for your axle; usually there will be a plate or sticker on the axle that tells you its weight rating.
For example, if you have a 3500-lb-rated axle and your hubs use bearing set L68149/L44649 then you could use 10-inch hub/drum kit # AKHD-555-35-EZ-K if you have EZ-Lube spindles or part # AKHD-555-35-K if you have standard spindles. Both kits include the hub/drum, bearings, races, seal, lug nuts and grease cap.
Electric drum brakes also should be selected based on axle weight rating and to match the size of your drums. For the 3500-lb-rated 10 x 2-1/2 hub/drums noted above you could use self-adjusting brakes # AKEBRK-35L-SA (left) and # AKEBRK-35R-SA (always select a left and right side brake).
Also note the mounting pattern on your brake flanges to ensure you select brakes that will bolt up properly. The electric drum brakes noted above use a 4-bolt mounting pattern.

You will also need a trailer brake controller to generate the signals for your trailer brakes. The Prodigy P2 # 90885 is a superb controller that is not super expensive, but it has been proven to be very reliable and easy to set up and operate.
