Recommended Wirelss Backup Camera with Airstream Trailer

Hi, I was wondering what you would recommend for a wireless backup camera? Also with an airstream and the aluminum will a wireless unit work? thanks in advance

Aluminum trailers, like your Airstream can interfere with a wireless signal. What we have found to work best is to mount the camera towards one side and the signal is generally stronger when the monitor (with this system your phone) is on the same side of the truck.
For a full time back up camera that uses a wireless signal I suggest the Rear View Safety WiFi Backup Camera System # RVS-83112-WiFi. This camera system installs without any power from your trailer so no wire splicing is required.
The wireless camera then connects via its provided WiFi signal to your iOS or Android smart phone or tablet. You will need to download the free SafetyEye (iOS) or SafetyCam (Android) app on your device and it will act as the monitor for the camera. This way there is no need to find a location to mount a monitor in the cab of your truck.
Another option is to use the Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor # 04928 which is battery powered so will not need to be wired into anything for installation. This includes a monitor that it will connect to wirelessly. The down side with the Swift Hitch is that since it runs on battery it will not be engaged simply by shifting your truck into reverse. You will need to manually turn it on when you're going to use it and then turn it off after. Or the battery will drain and need to be charged. And being that it is magnetic. You'll need to find a way to mount it since your trailer is aluminum.
