Question:
2016 GMC Sierra Crew cab,1/2 ton, 4WD, leveling. I installed a Rough Country front leveling kit in the truck and unloaded it sits fine, but when I add a moderate load like my four wheeler or my 4 place aluminum snowmobile trailer not really and excessive tongue weight, the rear end squats enough that I am not happy with it. I had considered a weight distribution hitch, but the trailer does not have an A frame configuration, rather a single large aluminum box beam, so I can envision how that would work. I was looking at Sumo Springs custom helper. Will this product help level the loaded tuck, and not affect ride quality or ride height when unloaded?

You are correct in looking at jounce springs to assist in your suspension. A great option I recommend for your 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD, is the Super Springs SumoSprings Custom Helper Spring Kit, # SSR-209-40. This jounce springs will support the extra load to avoid sagging and give a slightly smoother ride than other jounce spring options for your vehicle. These springs expand and compress vertically with minimal expansion to the sides. They adjust progressively according to your cargo, so the more you load onto your truck, the stiffer they become. They require no maintenance once installed and there is no drilling required to install these springs. They simply replace the axle bump stops on your frame.
Another good option for you is the RoadActive Suspension Kit # RAS4611. This system upgrades your factory suspension for improved stability handling and control. This mechanically active system adds critical strength to the leaf springs but will not compromise ride quality. It is easy to install with no welding, drilling or cutting, and once installed, no maintenance is ever required.
