Question:
I have a 2001 gmc sierra 1500 LD. It has a lift on it so i was wondering if something could be done to accommodate the 1.5 inch gap that would be left if i decided to install the 1,500 capacity bump stop somospring. I read that it’s approximately 5 inches and with the spacer it becomes 6 inches. The distance from the frame to where it “hits” is 7.5 inches. Ideally i would like for there to be a .75 - .5 inch gap if installed. Could i maybe be sent a slightly bigger spacer 1.5” or 1.75” ? or could you direct me to another product? Thank you.

I can gladly help you with your spacing problem but I am going to send you in the direction of another product. SumoSprings will not work for your application. I recommend going with the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System item # TGMRCK15S. They have an 8,600 lbs capacity. They have hollow rubber springs that sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your GMC Sierra. They also provide a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability. The springs are 5" tall and Timbren sells 1" and 1/2" spacers separately. These are item # TA25723-90AD00 for the 1" and item # TA25722-90F00 for the 1/2" spacer. Timbren does not recommend using more than 4 spacers per side and you will need to go buy new hardware from your local hardware store to connect your springs and spacers once you have figured out the right combination for your needs. I have linked several videos demonstrating the Timbren system and spacers.
