Question:
I have a dually with 255/85/16 tires with approx. 3/4inch gap between tires. Can you tell me what size would be a correct fit please? I ask because these are not the stock original size for this vehicle . 235/85/16s came stock and I installed a 3/8inch spacer to keep the tire from rubbing This is a 1997 Ford E450 Ambulance

Your 255/85-16 sized tires are each about 10 inches wide. For 20 inches of tire plus roughly 3/4 of an inch in between I recommend a chain that will cover at a least a 21 inch tire. Both the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Dual Tires # TC4231 and # TC4231CAM (with cams) are designed for tires up to 22 inches. So these will both be a great fit.
The difference of the two are going to be the cam fasteners of the # TC4231CAM chains. These will make the chains easier to install and tighten. However, the cams can also become disconnected if you're driving through rough terrain.
If you're going to be installing the chains and leaving them on for a long period of time, I would go with the # TC4231. If they'll be on and off with the change in whether, the # TC4231CAM are likely the better option.
