Can Skid Plate of 2002 Toyota Tundra be Left On With Curt Hitch 31180 Installed

Question:

I know on the draw-tite # 65031 the skid plate canot be used at all , but can you still use the oem skid plate on the 2002 tundra with the curt # 31180. I read that you cant on a 2005,2006 but what about the 2002?

We have had a few customers come back with similar Toyota Tundras as yours who said that with some minor trimming they were able to reuse the stock skid plate and have the Curt hitch # 31180 installed.

I attached a picture that shows the hitch installed with the skid plate installed as well.
