7-Way Wiring for 2003 Ford F-350 Longbed for Lance Slide-In Truck Camper
Updated 05/12/2020 | Published 10/31/2016 >
Question:
Im looking for a plug to mount a Lance camper into the bed of my 2003 Ford F350, 8-foot bed. I have the factory towing package with the 7-pin connector on the bumper. I was referred to you by a customer who suggested C56000. After looking at the video, Im not sure thats what Im looking for. Is there an option for plugging into the factory wiring harness at the connectors under the cab and then going to the front vehicle front of the bed? Thank you.

We do have 7-way wiring harnesses intended for use in the bed of a pickup for either a slide-in camper or a 5th wheel trailer. Harness # C56000 that you referenced is a suitable option. This kit plugs right in at your bumper-mounted factory 7-way (which will remain fully active, by the way) and provides 10-feet of additional slack to let you plug in your Lance camper. This harness uses a round U.S. Car connector.
There are no similar harness options that plug-in at the front of the vehicle.
