How to Install a Fresh Water Back Flow Preventer on a RV Water Heater

Question:
Which end of the back flow preventer is screwed into the rv water heater stem or head for cold/hot water? Thanks!!

The Valterra 1/2" check valve # P23415LFVP fresh water backflow preventer has an arrow stamped between the threading and the nut. It can be difficult to see, if you don't look closely. You should install the backflow preventer with the arrow pointing in the same direction as the water flow. I have attached a photo that clearly shows the correction direction.
