Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this RV half inch brass check valve for fresh water systems. Now, this brass check valve will replace a leaking valve that's in your RV's fresh water system. And this check valve is designed to prevent backflow and keep the contaminants out of your water. This is a lead-free brass, so it won't contaminate your water or rust over time.
And when this is installed properly, the water flow direction on this valve is from this male end to the female end. And if you notice on here, if I turn this, you can see right here, if you look closely, they do have a arrow designated on the side of the valve that shows that water flow direction. And if you see on the inside, you can see that valve that when we push it, you can see there's the valve there so when you push it, that valve will actually open on the inside. Few specs on this, on this end, it uses half inch male pipe thread fitting size. And on this end, it's female half inch pipe thread fitting size.
Overall length on the whole valve is gonna be right at two inches. But that should do it for the review on this RV half inch brass check valve for your fresh water systems..
It's working like it was meant to work. Fresh water tank is not filling up when we are hooked to city water source.
I installed this at the end of the flex line from the water pump so that when hooked to city water there would be no pressure coming back to the pump. This eliminates any chance of filling the freshwater tank and putting pressure against internal pump parts. Should have done this years ago.

Easy to install. Solved the problem without having to rebuild the waterpump.

Fresh water tank in RV over filling when connected to city water. Installed check valve in line directly after on board water pump. Problem solved.

It can be common to hear a noise when using the hot water in the RV. Normally would say to check on the check valve however since you have already done this I would recommend having the water heater checked out
