The best complete system I can recommend for your 2015 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2 foot bed, would be the Demco Hijacker Autoslide, # DM8550040. This hitch slides automatically while you drive to give you 22-1/2 inches of additional clearance for tight turns. It's design relieves you from getting into and out of the truck to operate a manual slider. It has a built in roller-and-guide assembly that allows for smooth, controlled, and automatic movement. This hitch would be paired with the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Rails and Custom Installation Kit, # DM8552030-71. This is the only 5th wheel hitch option for your vehicle that doesn't require use of a Sidewinder King Pin.
A Sidewinder is a replacement pin box that is a custom fit to replace your trailer's current pin box. I would need the brand name and model number on your pin box to help you with a fit for your trailer. The Sidewinder locks in place (using a wedge) at the hitch and utilizes a rotating turret to move the pivot point of the trailer back 22 inches. I've attached a video so you can see how this works. If you wish to go this route, this cannot be used with the Demco AutoSlide.
