What is the Load Carrying Capacity of a Load Range D 5.30-12 Trailer Tire
Published 10/28/2010 >
Question:
Can the 5.30-12 tire handle a 2000lb pontoon boat load with a 75hrsp outboard motor?

Expert Reply:
On a single axle using 2 of the Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12 Inch White Wheels, # AM30859, the combined weight carrying capacity of the tires would be 2,500 pounds. You would need to add in the weight of the boat, trailer, and anything on them for the gross trailer weight. If it is under 2,500 pounds, then these tires and wheels have enough capacity. You will need to make sure that you inflate the tires to the max psi listed on the tires (105 psi for these tires) in order to get the maximum load carrying capacity.
