Camco Gasket Kit Install Instructions and Purpose of Included Leveling Pads

Question:

Hi, I have a Carrier Air V 68RV14102A and need to replace the gasket. Does this particular unit need the foam pads as well or no? Can you please provide advise or instructions on how to replace this gasket and if the pads are needed, where to place them? Thank you. I can provide pictures if needed.

I attached the install instructions for the Camco Gasket kit part # CAM25071 that you referenced. I explained your question to our tech contact at Camco and he wasn't exactly sure what you meant by foam pads aside from the ones that come with this kit.

This kit comes with leveling pads that you would need to use as needed for your setup. It really depends on the application so we can't say for sure if your application calls for the pads or not. But if so they are included for your use. They are designed to support the section of the AC unit that does not sit over the picture frame gasket. Refer to your RV and/or AC manual for precise placement of pads.
