How To Find Lock Number On Yakima Skybox Cargo Box

Question:

I have a Yakima skybox and only have the serial #. Serial # 07158-08015. I cannot find the model number. One side of the box is locked and the other is not, is there just a key that will unlock the skybox? The only identification on the outside of the cargo box is Yakima Skybox, the year is about 2003. It is 7 ft long x 3 ft wide.

I spoke with my contact at Yakima and they told me that per the photo you sent you have a cargo box that can uses the SKS(Same Key System).

You just need the Control Key, part # Y8007835 to remove the lock core on the open side of your cargo box. One the side of the lock core there will be a code you can use to order a replacement key.
