The serial number of the cargo box unfortunately won't help you find the key number. You'll need a Yakima Control Key, part # Y8007835. Use the key to remove the lock core, and you'll be able to see the key number engraved on the side of the lock core. When you insert the control key, apply a little bit of side pressure to the key, at which time you should be able to slide the lock core free. The lock number should be the letter A followed by three numerals. The part number of your replacement key would be # Y8772-AXXX with the XXX being the numbers from the side of your lock core.
