I have a Yakima SkyBox 16 Carbonite Cargo Box what is the lock key I would need to replace the locks

Hi Jon; the Yakima SkyBox 16 uses the Yakima same key system. Assuming the current lock is unlocked, or you have the keys for it to unlock it, you need a control key # Y8007835 to remove the old lock core. The Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07202 come with a control key and new locks cores with keys.

If you don't have the old key and it isn't unlocked a replacement key may be available if you can tell me the code on the face of the lock core.

I have yakima sky box 16 rooftop cargo box, its locked and I can't find the key, it was my grandmother's and she gave it to me. I also looked on the outside of the lock and I didn't find any numbers on it only SKS. Im trying to replace the locks but not sure how.

@Drue if it doesn't have any markings and it is currently locked the only thing you can do is drill it out and then replace the lock core.
