Hinge Recommendation for Converting Gate of Dump Trailer to Barn Doors
Published 08/17/2016 >
Question:
I have a dump trailer with 4 ft sidewalls and a gate that hinges at the bottom or top. I wish to convert it to swing side to side, most likely with a split gate. I like the hinges you have and would use them. Do you have photos or a drawing showing how to frame up for and mount your hinges on side swinging dump trailer doors? thanks

I recommend part # PLR1904-Z. This is a barn door hinge for dump trucks and is made of 1/4 inch steel.
I don't have a drawing or install instructions I can send you, but if you take these hinges to a qualified fabricator in your area he would be would able to install them on your trailer without needing instructions.
