will this part work on my 2013 f150 lariat. The harness plug clips have broken on the one I have now

I'm not sure what you mean by harness clips, but the # HM40975 will work as a replacement for the existing 7-way on your 2013 Ford F150. If the US car connector that plugged into the back of your existing 7-way has been damaged, then you can cut off the existing US car connector and wire on the # PK11998 pigtail. The pigtail wires are color coded as follows:
Red - Left Turn and Stop - 14 gauge
White - Ground - 10 gauge
Blue - Electric Brakes - 12 gauge
Green - Right Turn and Stop - 14 gauge
Black - Battery - 12 gauge
Brown - Running Lamps - 14 gauge
Yellow - Backup Lamps - 14 gauge
The # HM40975 is what Ford is currently using as the OEM trailer connector.
