Question:

If my 2016 Chevy Equinox already has a tow package, should the Curtis 56094 or the Hopkins 41275 still work? I have purchased both with the same result. They dont work correctly. The car lights work correctly when harnesses are connected, but whats coming out of the 4 pole flat connector is not right. I called in to etrailer and was told what to look for in the back of the car and I do see what was discribed to me as far as an adapter/connector clipped to the side. The dealer does not see that I have a tow package but they didnt seem to be too familar with what I was talking about.

For the 2016 Chevy Equinox the correct 4-way harness is the part # 118264 or Curt part # C56210. These will attach to the factory trailer wiring port in the rear of the vehicle.

I attached pictures that show you where to find the port at the rear of your vehicle.

The T-harnesses you mentioned should still work but since they are not designed for your vehicle variation I can't recommend them.
