Question:

I replaced the gear box on my toy hauler but the motor seems weak and slow its an Atwood mpd 7119. The answers Ive seen on here show that this motor should work with the gearbox I have but was curious on its weight rating? The other answers show that it will work with the rampage landing gear that is rated for 8k lbs. thanks for your help!

If your landing gear operates, but operates very slowly, after you replaced the gear box then chances are that you may have a weak ground connection that is preventing full current from reaching the motor. Unless you hear bad noises from the landing gear, you can be pretty confident that the gearbox is a correct fit (many such parts are interchangeable between brands). This motor is intended for 8K landing gear kit # RVLG-8000.

I suggest checking both the hot and ground connections for the landing gear motor. Make sure both are solid at the landing gear connection. Also check all other power connections, such as to an on-board landing gear battery. Check for and remove any corrosion and make sure connections are tight. Dielectric grease like # 11755 can help protect such connections once they are clean and working correctly.

You may also simply have a case where the replacement motor does not operate at the same speed as the unit it replaced.
