Question:
How can we determine if spacer needed? Instructions say determine by how vehicle sits??? How far should it be from axle unloaded? Have a fifth wheel RV and back of truck sags approx 3 inches when trailer in hitch.

You will want to have the rubber spring of the Timbren part # TFR1502D sit close to the axle but not touching it when unloaded. There isn't an exact dimension for what will work best as people have different preferences and some vehicle suspensions move more in general.
Timbren likes to recommend 1 inch between the axle and the Timbren when the truck is unloaded. We have found that this works the best.
