Trailer Wiring Harness Options for a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit

Question:
Is this wiring harness kit compatible with 2007 VW Rabbit? I believe that year Jettas and Rabbits had tons of commonalities but I did not see the compatibility listed in the parts spec.

The 5th generation Jetta and Rabbit were similar in some respects as you pointed out, but the tail light assemblies were different, so the Tow Ready T-One harness, # 118667, will not fit your 2007 VW Rabbit. We have trailer wiring harnesses that will work with your Rabbit, but none of them are the plug-in style wiring harnesses.
I recommend the ZCI wiring harness, # 119250KIT. The ZCI harness is a great choice as it does not require any cutting or splicing of your vehicle's tail light wiring. It simply clamps around your tail light wires and senses the signal through the wire insulation.
