The Optronics Rectangular LED Trailer Clearance Side Marker has 2 wire leads, a black wire and white wire with a ring terminal.
The white wire is the ground wire and should be attached to the trailer frame using the ring terminal. This needs to be direct metal to metal contact. You may be able to use the same ground point as the electric brakes.
The black wire is the power wire and should be spliced to the trailer running light circuit. Often times this circuit is a brown wire, but not all the time. Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the trailer wires and find the wire that becomes hot when you switch on the headlights. I have added a link to a wiring FAQ page that should give you some help.
