Question:
I have a 2009 Ford Escape V6 4X4 with factory Class II tow package. I would like to add a Class III hitch to it. I am told there are a few that can mount/bolt underneath the existing hitch, which ones are they? Would I still be able to use the existing factory hitch too?

Expert Reply:
We have two Class III 2-inch hitches that will fit underneath the OEM 1-1/4 inch hitch. One from Curt, # C13651, and one from Draw-Tite, # 75751. Either of these hitches will fit just fine with the factory hitch.
However, you cannot use both the Class III hitch and the OEM Class II at the same time. It would put too much stress on the vehicle frame.
