Installing a 5th Wheel Hitch in a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 6 Foot Bed with Bedliner

Question:
I have a 2012 dodge Ram 1500 with a 6 ft box that has a bed liner in it. Can this hitch be installed with the liner in it?

The Reese 16K 5th Wheel Hitch # RP30051 and install kit # RP30035-386 are a confirmed fit and will install on your 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, but you may need to modify your bed liner depending on which type you have.
Per the manufacture's instructions: Do not install mounting rails over plastic bed liners. Plastic bed liners must be cut out of the way. Base rails may be installed on spray in liner.
