Question:
I purchased a new-to-me tow vehicle for our RV and need to install my Tekonsha Voyager brake controller in it. The new vehicle is a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has the factory tow package, so I already have the receiver hitch and 7-pin connector at the bumper. But the Jeep does not have plug and play harness for the brake controller. Ill need to tap into the wiring that runs to the back of the vehicle, as well as the brake and the battery. My specific question is this: The DrawTite 5506 universal wiring kit has more parts than I need, I believe. I think I will only need one circuit breaker, since I just need to run a wire from the controller to the battery. The Curt C51500 has only one circuit braker and is cheaper. So is the Curt the one to go with? Does it contain sufficient length of wires to run through the firewall and to the battery?

You are on the right track for installing your brake controller in your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The part # 5506 does include more than you would need if you aren't making the 12 volt circuit complete so instead the Curt part # C51500 would be all that you need.
The # 5506 would be the kit to use if you needed the 12 volt circuit.
