I am very pleased with the hitch, and the installation process. I was going to use a metal shop to install it, but decided to try it myself. The instructions were detailed, and the bolt holes lined up perfectly. This is the only hitch available that would fit my 2022 GMC Sierra 3.0 diesel, and other than trimming the plastic air dam, it went well
Just finished installing this on a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. I was worried about how high or low it would sit, but I was very pleased with how it turned out, especially since the website flags this model as not fitting my truck. It is tucked up underneath as high as practically possible without requiring trimming to the areas around the receiver tube. The only trimming needed was to small portions of the two main tabs that secure the air dam to the vehicle. The fit was perfect and it lined right up with attachment points. You do not need to remove the air dam to install. Just unscrew the two screws on each tab from underneath and also unscrew several of the smaller 7mm screws on both corners. Access to these is behind the wheel well lining. This allows the air dam to flex enough to get in behind it. The most challenging part of the install didn’t have anything to do with the product but it was trying to remove the bolt holding the driver side tow hook (this bolt gets replaced to serve as an attachment point). It was stuck in there pretty good and was in too tight of a space to hammer out with a punch. I ended up unscrewing the fog light which allowed for a long steel rod to hammer out this bolt. Other than that, the install was pretty straightforward.
Thanks to Jesse M., I was able to get the correct front-mounted hitch for my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500, SLT, 4x4, with the 3.0L diesel. It took a bit longer to install than what was stated, but finally got it and it is working out great.
Fit perfect and tolerances were literally spot on. It wouldn't have fit so nice if they were off just a 1/32" in any direction. I think it sits a bit higher than the front bumper likes it to. Even after modifying the scoop on the bottom, it still pushed up a bit. The instructions weren't the best, but after reviewing how it would have to attach vs. the instructions, it was clear what the "meant" without actually describing it properly.
The front mount fit very well but it was difficult to install so i had a truk accessory company install it. The last one i had on a 2006 chevy I installed myself. This one went on a 2022 GMC. I use it to park my travel trailer.
Had a similar Draw-tite front hitch on our 2016 Colorado. Used it to carry our electric bikes and rack.
Just installed over the weekend the hitch onto a 2021 Chevy Silverado High Country Duramax. Had a few snags. The front tow hook bolt wouldn't come out because it ran into the radiator housing. To move the radiator housing just a quarter inch was a chore. Other than that the rest went easy and was just as described in the installation instructions. (Those were not that clear in certain areas, too bad there isn't an installation video.)
Will upload pics of rack with bikes later. Will also use front hitch to push our trailer around into tight spaces.
Awesome hitch easy to install
I installed this on my 2022 Silverado 2.7 LT. The hitch itself is fine, but the installation instructions are worthless and there are no videos detailing the installation. There is no way to install this thing without removing the grill and bumper, no matter what the instructions say. I ended up finding detailed instructions to get everything off on another website installing flat tow bars. It also sits a tad low for my liking, but not a dealbreaker.
The hitch fit but the instructions were not for my truck.
I started following them and then realized I didn’t need to remove and cut the damper as shown in the instructions ,removed it and reinstalling was difficult and a waste of time
