Question:
Hello, I am looking to swap out my rusted leaf springs on a 2008 Triton Elite LTWCI trailer and had a question regarding two products. It currently has a 2000lb axle from factory, and 4 leaf springs rated for 2000lbs. Would moving down to 3 leaf springs Rated for 1500lbs provide better ride quality? Total weight of the PWC would be 930lbs, almost half of what the leaf springs are rated for and feel they may be too stiff for it. Thanks

You can use springs with a lower capacity than your existing springs to help provide an easier ride for your PWC. The # SP-178275 springs are a great choice. It is important to keep in mind that going with a lower weight rated spring will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer.
When choosing a lower weight rated spring, you will want to ensure that you still have enough room in the weight capacity to carry your PWC, the weight of the trailer, as well as any additional components on the trailer. The # SP-178275 springs will limit your trailer's weight to no more than 1,500 pounds.
The # SP-178275 springs may need the hangers to be spaced closer together or further apart than your existing springs.
If you need to replace your trailer's hangers, I recommend the Redline Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 1-3/4 Inch Slipper Springs # APS3SE.
