Features to know about

Solid Connection for Heavy Axles: 1" Diameter Grade 5 Suspension Bolt

Big axles need secure mounting points that won’t flex or wear out under load. This spring-eye bolt has a 1" diameter and Grade 5 strength to attach the slipper spring to the front hanger or equalizer on trailers with 10,000-lb, 12,000-lb, or 15,000-lb Dexter axles. It forms a strong, stable pivot point that keeps the suspension working smoothly mile after mile.

Reliable Fit That Holds Tight: 5-1/2" Long with 8 Threads per Inch

When you’re replacing worn hardware, the right size bolt makes all the difference. This one measures 5-1/2" long with 8 threads per inch, delivering the proper reach and threading for a snug, dependable fit. Pair it with locknut 6-112 (sold separately) to secure the setup and keep everything locked in place.

Built for Demanding Suspension Loads: Simple, Durable Design

A clean, heavy-duty design means fewer weak points and longer life. The solid steel build and Grade 5 rating give this bolt the toughness to handle high-capacity suspension systems without stretching or rounding off. It’s straightforward hardware that does its job and keeps your trailer suspension tight and aligned.

Video Transcript for All About the Spring-Eye Bolt for Slipper Springs

Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the five and a half inch spring-eye bolt for heavy duty decks or axles. This is a one inch diameter spring retainer bolt, which attaches the slipper spring to your front hanger or equalizer. Now the lock method used on this is sold separately. Now this suspension bolt will attach your inaudible 00:00:17 spring to your front hanger or equalizer. This one here is designed to work with slipper springs for 10,000 pound, 12,000 pound, and 15,000 pound heavy duty decks or trailer axles. The lock that we mentioned, that's not included.

You do have to buy that. We do sell that separately on our website. Part number 6-112, that's used to secure this bolt to the spring. Now a few specs on this bolt, it is a grade 5 bolt. Again, it's a one inch diameter.

The threads per inch are eight threads per inch, and a few measurements on this. The total length, which is measured from under the head to the very end, it's gonna be right at five and a half inches long. And the threaded portion is right at two and a half inches. But that should do it for the review on the five and a half spring-eye bolt for heavy duty decks or axles.

Usually you are completely on top of your game. This time my company is slightly disappointed in the timeframe of events. We stock checked all parts prior to ordering but then found out after the order was placed some were not in stock. Nobody reached out to let us know the parts were out of stock or asked if we would like to have the rest of the order shipped while waiting for the remaining out of stock items. Once we called we were able to get things moving however the shipment still was not expedited and took an additional extra five days.

Even before I get to the review form I want to tell you I was "blown away" when I got a notice a very few hours after ordering that it was shipped.

Lori (I think her name is) was very helpful with wisdom about tires and searching for some hardware we couldn't exactly match but found some good enough. Gave me her number at end of first call in case I needed any more help and I did.

All arrived before noon. Over the years I have noticed that tire quality is often approximately reflected in visible details like the fit of the mold segments, amount of flash, the surface finish, crispness of fill. These are some of the prettiest tires I've ever seen that weren't top of the line Michelins, Pirellis or Bridgestones. I gave them a roll and a sharp eye and saw no wavers vertical or horizontal.

Of course the ultimate issue is price. I don't know how you do it. No store in Jacksonville can come close. Even Wal-mart.
