Brake controller wiring adapter # 3035-P is the correct one for use with a Prodigy P3 controller # 90195 in a 2016 Ford Explorer equipped with the factory 7-way trailer socket. This wiring adapter plugs in at the back of the controller and at the brake controller port. This port is usually located under the dash above your right knee as you sit in the driver's seat.
You will need to remove the black appearance panel at the bottom of the dash. Two screws must be removed to do this. A second panel behind the first one should then slip out of the way. The harness may be tucked up out of the way or secured to other wiring.
You will want to look for a square plug that matches up to the one shown in the linked photo.
