Guide-on posts make it easy to load your boat onto your trailer and back your trailer down the ramp. They attach to the rear of your trailer and extend out of the water, providing visual targets to center the boat between during loading.

Guide Your Boat Into and Out of the Water with Ease
When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 40" tall guideposts that are mounted on the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you 2 highly visible targets to guide your boat between for loading. The PVC pipes also provide a visual aid to help you back your boat trailer down the ramp when you're unloading and loading your boat.
Installation
The posts are simple to install. Slide the PVC pipes over the pre-galvanized steel support posts. Then mount the posts on the top or below the trailer frame, as close to the rear corners as possible. Adjust the posts so that the distance between each post and your boat is less than 1".
Pre-Galvanized Steel
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating (less than 1 mil) and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so it's recommended that they be primed and painted.

Parts were thrown in a box or already opened. New plastic guides were already scuffed up. Should have just reused my old ones. This box definitely had been gone through before I got it. Possibly a returned item. Not impressed.

Easy to install. Fit my trailer perfectly and would clearly fit other size trailers as well. Works just like they are supposed to. I painted the top caps red for easier trailer backing.

Guide-ons were easy to install and have been very helpful in loading and launching my boat. Definitely recommend them to anyone with a boat trailer.
These are exactly as advertised. Installation was quick and they work as they are supposed to. Looks clean with the black trailer like there are supposed to be there.
The Post Guide-Ons arrived quickly and have been installed.
They have not been water tested yet, but look like they will do the trick. Loading the boat on the trailer has been challenging when you can’t tell where you are side to side.
A couple things to consider: The width of the boat relative to the frame of the trailer make the bottom tubes of the guides just barely long enough. I believe it will work, but another inch of tube would be good for my setup. When installing, if you have a deep socket, you won’t have to switch to an open wrench. Other than that, I am very happy with these!

More sturdy than I was expecting. Simple install. Etrailer was the only place I could find this item in black pipe. I customized my install to make it align better with the angle of the boat.

We recieved the product and within 1 hr. It was on the hardest part was tightening the bolts drop the u bolts on in a x pattern match the bolts up with the plate put channel in and tighten

Really easy to install
These will help a lot when backing my trailer and dinghy. My trailer was built from a CE Smith kit and the boat is an inflatable dinghy. They sit very low and I can’t see them when backing down a ramp. Product was easy to install and is sturdy. I expect to get many years of service from it.
Pics of new guide poles I purchased. Awesome product very easy to install and look great. Only problem you can see on my tracker trailer these will not work if the wooden step was still in place could not mount..
My trailer and boat disappeared behind my truck while towing it. These guide-ons will not only assist me in loading from the water, but combined with the light mounting brackets, I now have a visual in my rear mirrors while I'm driving. Installation was a breeze! I invested in an electrician's snake, that aided tremendously in passing the wires down the PVC posts and staying out of the angled tubes.
Easy to install, now I can load my boat on trailer without worrying about the wind or water currents moving or blowing the boat sideways and bust my trailer lights ever again,thank you.
Great product. I have a 16’ light bass boat. In high winds the boat would drift over the top of a fender if the trailer was in water too deep. I bolted 4 of these on my boat. 2 on the back rails and two in the forward middle of the trailer. Now the wind is no problem. When the boat starts to blow off coarse, the rails keep it perfectly centered.

Working well...I did have to secure the bottom of the guides to the trailer because the styrofoam padding tended to make them float up and off the metal posts as the boat was backed into deeper water.
It is a good product overall but I was a little surprised that the PVC tubing only had a friction fit as they slip over the brackets, which seems a little bit "iffy". So I inserted a self drilling/tapping screw through the PVC into the bracket for a more reliable connection which is easy enough to do. I would buy it again.
The U-bolts fit my one inch frame trailer, were easy to install and well engineered. This product is just what I wanted for loading my boat onto my trailer.

Exactly as advertised. Pulled the caps off and painted them red. Easy to see while backing up means I don’t look stupid on the boat ramp. I use them as a much tighter fit than most people, but they hold my boat in the center of the trailer for the transom saver which used to be hard to align. Easy to install and strong mounts.
