Will a Thule Quick Grip Cargo Box Mount Fit in Place of an AcuTight Mount

I have a Thule Sonic XL that came with the Acutight clamps. Two of my Acutights have broken, and Im wondering if they can be replaced the Quickgrip system to save money?

The Quick Grip Mount # TH05738 and the AcuTight mount, # TH7521484001, both fit the same cradle, # TH8523387001, so you could use a Quick Grip in place of an AcuTight.
