Question:
I currently have electric over hydraulic brakes on my stock trailer, and was wondering if the current drums would work with electric brakes? Trailer is running 17.5 wheels. The actuator and brake lines are shot, and feel that converting it would be a more cost effective way to repair it. trailer is a 2005 eby roughneck livestock trailer

Yes, you can replace the hydraulic brake assemblies of your trailer with electric ones. It would just be a matter of removing the hubs, removing the old assemblies, installing the correct size/rated ones, and then wiring the assemblies back up to the trailer connector.
I attached a help article that covers everything on adding brakes to a trailer as well as a picture of where to measure on your hubs so that you can pick out the correct size assemblies.
Since you mentioned that you have Dexter 10k axles you would want the brake assembly part # 23-451 for the right hand side and part # 23-450 for the left hand side.
