Question:

Can a Winnebago Volkswagen Rialta be equipped with a class IV hitch receiver and carry a 500 pound weight? that being a 350lb power wheel chair and a 150lb carrer?

You can confirm the hitch tongue weight (TW) capacity of your Winnebago Volkswagen Rialta by contacting Winnebago or Volkswagen with the vehicle's VIN, if it is not noted in your owner's manual. As long as the vehicle frame has the strength and appropriate dimensions you can install a 500-lb-rated frame-mount hitch like Curt # C13701 to handle your chair and carrier.

This 2-inch hitch has a 500-lb TW capacity and it's adjustable brackets mean it can fit vehicles whose frame widths range from 18- to 51-inches. This is a bolt-on hitch.
