Question:
I drive a 2011 Mercedes GL450 and when I plug my utility trailer in to the OEM tow package receiver, no lights on the utility trailer come on except the brake lights, which remain on. Will this product fix the issue Im having with my utility trailer?

Good news, you are correct in that the Curt # C35FR adapter will fix your 2011 Mercedes-Benz GL450 to work with your LED trailer lights. Some makes of cars are more sensitive to the LEDs and this adapter contains a resister that's needed to accommodate that sensitivity.
With the # C35FR adapter it will end up taking you from a 7-way to a 4-way, but if your trailer is a 7-way plug I'd recommend the # C57003. The Curt adapter has the same resister but allows you to still have that 7-way plug for your trailer.
If you have any further issues I'd be more than happy to continue to help you troubleshoot this.
